I have just finished this book and I was disappointed. It couldn't live up to the plot summary of the back of the book. It mentioned murders, spies and mysterious remarks in books. Sounds exciting. But I'm fairly patient a reader, but I felt the plot was agonizingly slow. Some of the information felt repetitive in the first few chapters, but by the end of the book I was so frustrated. I won't give any spoilers at present, as there's not a spoiler tab. But I felt the end just didn't seem coherent enough to make sense.

I wondered what other people thought of the story?

I give Agatha Christie full credit for writing a book in her 80's. I hope she got some enjoyment from writing a final Tommy and Tuppence.

I have just finished re-reading The Secret Adversary and something \Puzzled me, SPOILER ALERT! When Tommy and Julius go to the Moat House at Ebury and Julius suggests going by Car why is Tommy s keen to go by Train? Id it that he is enjoying himself amnd wants to make the adventure last as long as possible or is it Finances or is it that Julius's Common sense and Get up and go makes Tommy feel embarraced and he wats to keep a bit of dignity and do things his slower but more romantic way? and what is a Moat House?

If your answer is yes, why Agatha Christie did not just write Anthony Marston or just write Tony marston in this story?

I've just finished reading the Secret Adversary and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Shame I've heard that none of the other T&T books are much good but I actually think she had two great characters there and could have worked with them more, especially in her earlier years while she still in her prime. What does everyone else think?
