Oh, hello! I'm so glad you're here. I'm having a bit of trouble and I wonder if you could help me. I'm doing some research, you see, going through the files of the barrister Sir Charles Carter KC. Have you heard of him? He's most famous for defending Leonard Vole in the Emily French murder...

Anyway, I've been going through his files, finding some fascinating cases, and I discovered the record for a murder case where Sir Charles defended the killer from one of Agatha Christie's mysteries, but unfortunately, the mice seem to have gotten to the file, and most of the file has been chewed to bits! I can't figure out who the defendant in the trial is! Most vexing...

Interestingly, there are notes on the twelve members of the jury, and wouldn't you know it, each and every juror has appeared in at least one Christie story! What are the odds? If I could just figure out the names of the twelve jurors, I should be able to figure out the defendant's name based on some cryptic clues scribbled in the margins of the surviving notes.

Here's what I have so far. The mice have left me little bits of twelve pictures. The entire pictures can each be found somewhere on the Agatha Christie website (www.agathachristie.com), but I don't know where. You'll have to figure it out for yourself. What do you say we turn this into a little game? Each day, I'll post one of the pictures, along with a little clue from the file as to who the juror was. Then you track down the picture, and once you figure out the story or the character the picture belongs to, you can use the clue to figure out the name of the juror. I'll put up one picture a day for twelve days.

10) Who won a Golden Globe for

Prosecution?

18) Which
Agatha Christie story will screenwriter Sarah Phelps adapt for television next?

Once you’ve gotten as many answers as you can, please send
your answers in– here’s how to find the relevant email address:

Here’s what you need to do. Watch the videos
on the making of The Witness for the Prosecution here: http://www.agathachristie.com/watch/the-witness-for-the-prosecution/behind-the-scenes.
Then, use what you’ve learned to answer the following questions.

1) Toby
Jones says that you “absorb Agatha Christie like you absorb” who?

2) Monica
Dolan says that she was once “a bit obsessed” with one of Christie’s
novels. What is the proper
noun in the title of
that book?

3) Kim
Cattrall says that she once participated in a workshop for the play version of Witness for the Prosecution in
which city?

Let’s suppose that the answer to #1 is “Dickens” (it’s not), the
answer to #2 is “Mesopotamia” from “Murder
in Mesopotamia” (it’s not), and the answer to #3 is “Los Angeles” (it’s
not) If the city in question has more than one word (maybe it does,
maybe it doesn't), include all the words in the city's name. You would
string your answers together– all lowercase, no spaces, into
dickensmesopotamialosangeles. That gives you the secret email address
where you have to send your answer– dickensmesopotamialosangeles –at–
gmail.com. Send your answers to the correct email address.

Once you’ve figured out the name of the secret email address, you
need to send an email to that address with the following information. Put
“TWFTP TRIVIA GAME” in the subject line. Then include:

1. The
name of the mystery defendant.

2. Your
name.

3. Your
user name on the discussion boards.

That’s how you’ll submit your answer!

(Those of you who played the first game will have a head
start on this.)

Please send in your answers by Midnight, January 31st,
CST. Good luck!

Well, by now, you should have gathered the names of the
twelve jurors, and followed the clues to figure out the identity of the
defendant in the case! Have you got
that? Capital!

Now, you need to submit your answer. Here’s what you need to do. Watch the videos on the making of The Witness for the Prosecution here: http://www.agathachristie.com/watch/the-witness-for-the-prosecution/behind-the-scenes. Then, use what you’ve learned to answer the
following questions.

1) Toby Jones says that you “absorb Agatha
Christie like you absorb” who?

2) Monica Dolan says that she was once “a bit
obsessed” with one of Christie’s novels.
What is the proper noun in the title of that book?

3) Kim Cattrall says that she once participated
in a workshop for the play version of Witness for the Prosecution in which city?

Let’s suppose that the
answer to #1 is “Dickens” (it’s not), the answer to #2 is “Mesopotamia” from “Murder
in Mesopotamia” (it’s not), and the answer to #3 is “Los Angeles” (it’s
not) If the city in question has more than one word (maybe it does, maybe it doesn't), include all the words in the city's name. You would string your answers
together– all lowercase, no spaces, into dickensmesopotamialosangeles. That gives you the secret email address where
you have to send your answer– dickensmesopotamialosangeles –at– gmail.com. Send your answers to the correct email address.

Once you’ve figured
out the name of the secret email address, you need to send an email to that
address with the following information.
Put “TWFTP GAME” in the subject line.
Then include:

1. The name of the mystery defendant.

2. Your name.

3. Your user name on the discussion boards.

That’s how you’ll
submit your answer!

If you have any
questions, please post them on this thread.
Good luck!
