Hi All, "The Secret Adversary" book contends a Tommy and Albert dialog as this: "Could you report this in the proper quarter?". Considering it is not related to financial periodic reports, could any reader clearing up what it is supposed to mean? Tks,

I had read POF years ago, but I recently reacquainted myself with the story via Hugh Fraser's audio book version.
I became very excited by it and---just for the fun it--began making notes for a screen play.
I would say Hugh could play Tommy, but I think Christie fans wouldn't accept him in another Christie role besides Capt. Hastings. (same as David Suchet would make a great Paravacini if they ever filmed MOUSETRAP, but that probably will never happen).
Not sure who would play Tuppence.
The book, although not her best, is very adaptable! Lots of room for flashbacks and filling out the unexplained points in the book. The conclusion seems very much like Passenger to Frankfurt but that made a bit more sense overall.
POF seems to have needed one more edit on the last chapter to explain what exactly happened to Mary Jordan. The main clue that T&T find doesn't really go anywhere.
But of course my screenplay will change all that.... LOL

In the Marple series, they made Tuppence into a lush. In the 2015 Partners in Crime series they made Tommy into a boob.
Poor T&T.
I will have to watch the French film (Mon petit doigt m'a dit) and see if they fared any better !

I am the fan of Agatha Christie in Taiwan. I read the novel N or M? recently, but something confuses me. The following is my questions:
Are Tony marston who is the colleague of Tommy and tuppence’s daughter and Anthony the same person?

David Walliams and Jessica Raine as Tommy and Tuppence

With a new Tommy and Tuppence series airing later this year, I thought I’d gauge opinions on the casting of David Walliams and Jessica Raine as the eponymous pair.

While the pair are both great actors and I absolutely can not wait for Partner’s In Crime to air, I can’t quite visualise them as ‘The Secret Adversary’ era Tommy and Tuppence (who were, after all, in their early 20s - compared to Raine’s early 30s, and Walliams’ early 40s).

So, what to you think of the casting? And who would you cast as a younger Tommy and Tuppence?

What do you imagine that their lives would turn out like? Are they ever mentioned in an Agatha Christie books again? Do you think they would be like an American parallel to Tommy and Tuppence, in regards to their adventures, kids, and general life together?

Does anyone know why Francesca Annis & James Warwick never filmed the Tommy and Tuppence stories Mrs. Christie wrote where they had the twins? I thought they were quite good. Thank you.

In "Postern of fate" an adventure of Tommy and Tuppence Beresford do you know of which breed is the dog named Hannibal of the couple ? Is it insîred of Agatha Christie's real dog ? Thanks !
