gold gilt edges

I have started collecting Agathia Christie's bantam hardcover mystery books. I have two kinds of books,some of the page edges (when the book is closed) are white and some are gold gilt. Are the gold gilt edges worth more than the white edges? If so what % more. Thanks,fisherville
