I think The Miss Marple short stories are slightly better, I think it is a shame the only 'Friend' of Poirot to appear in short stories is Hastings and the only 'recurring' Friend who appears in a Miss Marple Novel is Bunch.
Inspector Japp, Miss Lemon, and George all appear in multiple short stories. The Bantrys, Mr. Petherick, Sir Henry Clithering, Raymond and Joyce/Joan West, and Dr. Haydock all appear in multiple Miss Marple stories.
