This is probably my favourite play. I was lucky to find a DVD copy of the BBC version on eBay, and often watch it. Penelope Keith is marvellous as are all the cast. The Hailsham-Brown connection is a little obvious, but still a first rate play.

    I've read the book, never thought that much of it, to tell the truth... But since @Moonraker says that Penelope Keith is in the play... I'd love to see it! Sounds like wonderful casting.

    I saw an AM Dram version, wasn't impressed but I wonder who else is in it?

    If you@Moonraker enjoyed the play you should also enjoy  the novelisation by Charles Osborne which was published by Harper Collins in 2001.
