Looking for complete 13 hours of Agatha Christies's voice recordings

Recently I learned that there were about 13 hours of Agatha Christie's autobiographical tape recordings discovered in 2008 (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=94658968).
The only trace of these that I could find on the Internet is a complimentary CD for this book http://www.ebay.com/itm/An-Autobiography-Christie-Agatha-0007314663-/380802981876, but it only features some excerpts from these tapes (about 1 hour).

Does anyone know whether the complete tapes were ever published and/or where they can be bought?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Abteslav!

Try contacting NPR directly, ask to speak with Lynn Neary the NPR arts correspondent who reported the story. Reference story #94658968 reported on September 16, 2008 with the title.. Keep us posted on your findings! I'd love to hear what the reporter had to say to you.

@abreslav These tapes have not been published publicly, other than in the CD you found, as they are privately owned by Christie's family.

If you'd like to hear more of Agatha Christie's voice, there are several interviews with her held in the BBC Archives, which you can listen to online.
  • @Tuppence, thanks for the info!
