denouement of the volume " The unexpected visitor"

Actually,I'm putting my foot on the volume of "The unexpected visitor".
Before reading the entire book,I hope descovering the reality and expecting the end.
The first deduction ( What's the purpose of the visitor ?):
1. The visitor is admirer for Ms.Warwick.
2. The visitor is manipulator,and he's targetting the huge fortune of Warwick.
After taking away her,he'll kill this woman and stole all money in her carry-back.
The second deduction ( Who shotted Mr.Warwick ?):
1. She covers his simple-minded son,killing his father for hate hearting up.
