Poirot novel

This is a book I read some years ago and I would like to read it again, but I cannot remember the title. In this novel, Poirot is indisposed and sends some one (a girl if I remember right) to talk to various parties and ask some specific questions and report to him. She has very good memory and reports every thing to him. He could not solve the murder and sends the girl back and she reports to him. Poitot finds that one person has lied and he solves the murder.

Does any one knows the title of this novel? Please reply if you know

I'm not sure, but this doesn't sound like any Poirot novel.  Have you ever played the computer game of Murder on the Orient Express?  They changed the story a bit, and it's exactly like you described.  The girl is a new creation of the game developers, Antoinette Marceau, and Poirot was injured when the train ran into a snowdrift.
