I watched the episode last week and found it was very faithful to the book. I thought the book was a little overlong, but the adapt tidied it up.
I would have liked a few more typical Mrs Oliver stand alone moments, where she say's something really extraordinary. But the surroundings were lush and the slow motion fair scene was suitably eerie.
When I saw it, I surely wasn't disappointed. The episode was well built, everything "cooperated in harmony". There weren't too much of anything and I loved the actors' performances. In my opinion, this episode is one of the best
And Mrs Oliver was, as always, the most loveable character!
