Can't remember the title of this book

So, I have this very vague memory of an Agatha Christie book I read several years ago and I cannot for the life of me remember what the title was. Here's the little bits I remember: I believe it was one of her country house books (i.e. the murdered person lives in a small village and is one of the local gentryfolk or whatever you call them); the same type of setting as The Mysterious Affair at Styles or Dumb Witness, I think. The only other thing I remember is that the solution to the murder somehow involved initials on a chest or trunk, and I think one of the initials was an E. If you know which book I'm describing, PLEASE tell me. But don't tell me any more details about the ending, because I want to re-read the book.  :-) Thanks!!

I'm not sure... initials play a role in Dumb Witness, but you mentioned that book.  There's a monogrammed cigarette case with "K" in The Mystery of the Blue Train... but I'm not sure of what you're thinking of here.  I'll keep digging.
