I have written an essay on Miss Marple, comparing her life in St. Mary Mead with my life growing up in Brooklyn Heights in the 1950s.  Who/what do you think would be interested in this?

    Agatha Christie Readers, Is Brooklyn Heights a Village?

    Yes and no - it was originally called Brooklyn village, but is now " an affluent residential neighborhood within the New York Cityborough of Brooklyn" (according to Wikipedia). As a former Brooklynite, I can say that compared to manhattan it is village-like - low houses, yards. stoops (the stairs from the street to the yard or from the yard to the house, which used to serve as play areas for the children). Like in a village, at that time you knew your neighbours, you walked to school.

    If Brooklyn Heights is a Close knit community like St Mary Mead or Chipping Cleghorn and Long Hinney Agatha Christie Fans would be especially interested.
