Just found this topic — (in no order) Witness for the Prosecution, Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, The Guns of Navarone, Dead of Night (really good scary, but not grisly or gory at all), 2001, Diabolique (1955 version), Importance of Being Ernest (1952), Airplane!

So many...North by Northwest, Laura, Notorious, Casino Royale (Daniel Craig version), Dial M For Murder, Rear Window. I'll stop there.
  • I have to tell this: Friday night we had my sister, her husband and two of her children (aged about 24 and 12) for dinner, and later, as a continuation of the conversation, my husband insisted on their all watching "A night in Casablanca" with the Marx brothers. I was a bit worried, especially how the daughters would react - after all, it is very old, and black and white! But much to my surprise (and joy) they all loved it. A classic movie, whose strength lies in great scriptwriting and marvelous multitalanted actors (there are some brilliant musical interludes), and one of my all time favourites.,
