Cooking with Agatha

I've thinking about the foods mentioned in the stories. For example, does anyone have a recipe for the Damson Gin that Miss Marple likes?

Hello Carole, this recipe is attributed to the great-great grandson of another writer, Charles Dickens:

    Damson Gin:
1 lb Damsons, 1lb sugar, 1 liter gin.

Put pricked fruit in sterilized glass container.
Add sugar and shake vigorously every day till sugar turns very pink.
Add gin, shake and store in a dark place.
Turn and swill fruit around once the sugar has dissolved, shake ocassionally.
After 3 months, strain and bottle.
