I am making a movie based on "and then there were none" and I need some advice

Hey guys.
I am a young filmmaker from India and I want to adapt Agatha Cristie's "And then there were none" novel into my film. I'd like to know.....Is that work in public domain and I can simply make my movie(Giving her credit on film ofcourse) by taking the estate's permission or do I have to buy the rights by paying money.
