Same book, Different title

Hi, I have a partial collection of Christie's books. I've noticed that a few of them have the same content, but different titles. They are from different publishers. I'm curious why this is. Surely, she knew what she wanted as titles for her books. Thanks

janemoor - it was simply that the US readership was felt by Agatha Christie's US publishers to need localised titles that would be more familiar. And some titles have been updated a couple of times for obvious reasons, see And Then There Were None.

I always thought the change from Death in the Clouds to Death in the Air was pointless, though. Why in the world did they feel the US needed a different title for that one?
