Are you a character from "The Big Four"? It were basically several short stories that made a novel, I think.

    Are you British?

Are you from Partners in Crime?
  • Have you met Hercules?
  • Christopher_WrenChristopher_Wren Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany
    Have you met Hercule Poirot?
  • Christopher_WrenChristopher_Wren Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany
The only other Poirot novel except the Big Four, that I remember, where several short storys made a book, are the Labours of Hercules. Are you from this book?

Yes!!! Labours Of Hercules (I think Mrs Blair picked up on this too)

I shall have to go away soon for the weekend when I come back I'll have time to give the correct answer
  • She's kidnapping dogs!
  • Tommy_A_JonesTommy_A_Jones Gloucestershire, United Kingdom
    Amy Carnaby
  • I managed to get on here for a few minutes.

Tommy is correct that it is indeed Amy Carnaby but ....

In fairness it was actually Christopher Wren and Mrs Blair and LL8 did who asked for most the clues. And CWren guessed Labours and Mrs Blair got Hercules and dogs first but didn't give the name.

Did you guess who it was Mrs Blair?

  • Tommy_A_JonesTommy_A_Jones Gloucestershire, United Kingdom
Mrs Blair guessed what she was stealing I think in fairness she should go next, I just googled Labours of Hercules
  • To be really fair, I resorted to the internet for ideas too, so I think Mr Wren can have it!

Mrs Blair, I think you were much closer than me. I just thought about Agatha Christie books where several short stories made a novel and guessed them one by one. Then I googled as well, because I couldn't remember the stories in "Labours of Hercules". But by that time I have found it, you had already guessed, that she had stolen dogs. So I think it should be you, you were on the right track, and if we all used the internet, than you were the one, who used it first. :-)
  • I've returned and Ye gads!!!  I think that everyone played well, but I think Mrs Blair guessed the most number of times and had Labour Of Hercules.

So I think you should set us a new challenge Mrs Blair

    ^:)^
  • Ok, thank you, I shall do in the next day or two (need to do some browsing)
  • Sorry to be so late, I got confused and was searching for a quotation, but am all set now with an unknown person.

It's not an easy first clue, but I'm sure the questions will work it out!

    'I am a suspicious person'
