I guess they met someone else before iInspector Marriot. Actually, a little of the mountains of snow has melted the last couple of days on the other side of Lake Michigan, but more is supposed to come in the next 24 hours.
Yes, the way the question was worded was "their first contact in the Yard?" I've only read 1 T and T book, so I'm unfamiliar with them...but the correct answer is none other than Inspector James "Jimmy" Japp. I think I guessed the novel correct on the Guess the Novel forum. If so, I will be posting my 4 words from a book tomorrow. I have a good one.
Hi - we didn't have any rules actually. I had found this great AC Trivia book and just started throwing out some fun questions. Anyone can answer. The book has the questions grouped into categories like - Hercule P questions, Marple, Titles, Red Herrings, etc. If you want to pose any questions, feel free! Trivia is always fun.
I'll put out a few more from the category: Mise en Sc`ene
1. What was the number of the compartment on the Orient Express occupied by Samuel Edward Ratchett, in which he was killed?
2. Although he hated to travel, Poirot quite obviously got around. Can you recall the name of the vessel he was traveling when he suddenly encountered Death On The Nile?
3.If you happened to read the Chipping Cleghorn paper on Friday, Oct. 29, you knew that a "murder" had been announced for 6:30 that evening at Little Paddocks. What is the name of the family who owned that inhospitable home?
Thaqnks Jennifer for Clarifying things, what is the name of the book, I can't think of any questions and I love yours, The questions I can think of wouldn't be the right sought.
Thanks Tommy! It's a great book that I found at a used book store - Agatha Christie Trivia, by Richard T. Ryan. (1987) Many of the questions are quite difficult and detailed, so you really have to know your AC!
How about we try...Mon Ami Hastings?
1. Despite the fact that he started out as Poirot's Watson, Hastings does not appear in all that many cases. In how many novels does Hastings appear with Poirot?
2. The romantic impulses of Hastings may be ascribed in part to his preference for women with a particular hair color. What shade of hair is the good Hastings often, and truly, accused of being partial to?
3. Believe it or not, Hastings once seriously considered murdering someone. In which case did it occur, and what was the name of the prospective victim?
